End of The Year: Drama Awards 2015

Omodramaland's Super Special Drama Awards

Today is the last day of 2015, and so I kind of wanted to do a little wrap up when it comes to all the dramas that aired this year. With all the award shows going on, this is probably not something super duper original, but it is something I've wanted to do ever since I started this blog (I just love award shows you guys!! I can sit and watch it all + the red carpet footage and not get bored xD) so I decided to still have you read through one last award show of the year. Overall 2015 has been an AMAZING drama year for me. Compared to 2014, it completely blew my socks off, but of course, not everything can be pitch perfect. In this post I'll go through my favorite dramas of the year (Including Korean, Chinese and Japanese dramas. I sadly haven't seen any HK and Taiwanese dramas so I can't include those :s sorry), give out a best actress and actor award, best supporting role award, best villain award, best OST....as well as some new categories that I've come up with (because why not? xD) I would also like to apologize for the biased feelings towards Korean dramas, but due to easy access to subtitles, my love for the culture and language and actors, the majority of dramas on this list will be Korean.
Also, a quick mention.
1. Keep in mind that this is all based on my personal opinion and not on any viewers rating charts
2. No, -insert sad smiley that doesn't look like a stick with two dots- Six Flying Dragons won't be in this chart, since I don't think it's fair to give out an award to a drama that is barely halfway through the episodes. Therefore, it will be included in 2016's award post instead (and it's totally going to slay, am I right or am I right? -wink wink-)

Well then, bring out the flowers, because here are the winners ~ I hope you'll enjoy :3

[LET'S GET TO KNOW] Korean Sageuks' and In What Order You Can Watch Them (Part 2)

The continuation ~ The Goryeo Dynasty

The famous painting by King Gongmin

Goryeo (Hangul: 고려; hanja: 高麗 (918–1392), was a Korean dynasty established in 918 by King Taejo (of Goryeo) also known as Emperor Wang Gun, and overthrown by Yi Seong Gye (who became King Taejo of Joseon) with the help of his son Yi Bang Won (later king Taejong) and scholar Jeong Do Jeon in 1392. The name "Goryeo" later gave name to the modern exonym "Korea".

There hasn't been a lot of dramas done in this time period. I don't know why, I guess nothing major happened, expect for when the Yuan Empire took over Goryeo and the establishment of the Joseon Dynasty which is pretty much what I'll cover in this blogpost, and it'll go quickly:

Goryeo:

Emperor Wang Gun (the founder of Goryeo)

The Iron Empress (Wang Gun's granddaugther)

(and then the dramas that I think you should watch to get a good overall view on this dynasty will be marked with a *)

Empress Ki * (focuses a lot on the Yuan Empire and the struggle between Yuan and Goryeo, as well as the fall of the Yuan)

The Great Seer (If you're interested in seeing how life in Goryeo was for both the king and the citizens during Yuan's harsh rule, check out Empress Ki or Faith instead. I know Ji Sung is in it, but I personally don't recommend this drama)

Faith * (It's a time-travel - supernatural drama, with not much historical accuracy except that you get a good introduction to who King Gongmin, Queen Nagook and General Choi Young were) It's not super important, but I watched it before Six Flying Dragons, and you got a better understanding of General Choi Young, why the government was the way it was and as well as who the old kings that are mentioned in SFD were)

A frozen Flower (It's supposed to be about King Gongmin and Queen Nagook and their relationship, but it adapted from a fictional point of view, it's involves mature content, nudity and homosexuality, just so you know. It's not accurate to history but it's still a highly enjoyable movie!

Six Flying Dragons *** (Yes three stars are needed! All biased feelings aside, this IS the most important drama to watch, after probably Empress Ki and Faith if you decide to watch those, of this dynasty! I dare say that if you skip this drama you are pretty much skipping on an essential part of korean history. Just watch it! It's epic! (Yeah, I'll leave it at that since I think unless you're a new reader, you probably already know how much I've fangirled and spammed about this particular drama xD oh and if you're feeling hesitant because of Shin Se Kyung, don't worry, I used to dislike her actinga  lot too, but in this....she blows minds! Her acting has improved so much! So yeah, if this is holding you back, mark my words, you won't face-palm whenever you see her on the screen)

Shin Don (Set in the same time period as Faith, it follows the life of the rumoured father of King U, who was one of the last Goryeo kings. I haven't seen it myself but unless you're hardcore and want to know every detail about what went down between the Empress Ki - Six Flying Dragons time period, you can skip this one, especially since I haven't managed to find it with subs ._. it's quite an old drama).

Jeong Do Jeon (I'd dare say this is a twin of Six Flying Dragons, but only focuses on the scholar Jeong Do Jeon and his backstory. Sadly I have only been able to find the first episode subbed, but if you're fluent in korean, go ahead and check it out!

Empire of Lust (movie)

Non-historically accurate drama, but still set in the time-period:

So yeah, in my opinion if you just check out Empress Ki, (Faith), (A frozen Flower) and Six Flying Dragons you'll pretty much get the full picture of the important stuff in this dynasty! I hope you enjoyed :3 If you have any questions you're more than welcome to post a comment down below or contact me through my mydramalist! I'll see you in part 3 where we'll jump right ahead into the Joseon dynasty ~

Omodramaland's 'Can't Contain The Feels' Corner - Lee Min Ho: Arrogant Chaebol vs Badass Warrior Assassin?

A random Lee Min Ho-ish rant

So I suddenly fell into nostalgia-drama-mood and decided to start re-watching City Hunter. It was a brilliant idea because I actually really enjoyed that drama when I first watched it 2 years ago. And I missed it, but perhaps not the plot as much as seeing Lee Min Ho in that kind of role; and that's when it hit me. I actually missed THAT Lee Min Ho.
Lee Min Ho, to me he is a guy with potential but who is sadly trapped in the shadow of the role that brought him fame. Why do I say that? Because I feel like he mostly famous for his role in Boys Over Flowers, playing what is in my opinion, one of the most medocre-boring roles ever (the medocre-rating it got from me was purely thanks to the supporting-character Yi Sung),  It was in City Hunter that I first saw him, and I couldn't believe my eyes that a guy as talented as that got his break-through by playing a flat piece of paper, I still don't understand why he accepted that role in The Heirs. It was recycled but more clingy version of Gu Jun Pyo, only with more family drama. I couldn't understand why he went back to doing the boring recycled Gu Jun Pyo - now named Kim Tan -character when he had just finished two kickass dramas (City Hunter and Faith)? But that's when it hit me. The sad truth. It was probably because Lee Min Ho as the arrogant chaebol appealed more to the general public than the badass assassin/warrior Lee Min Ho. Why else would he instead of moving forward go back to the same role he did before?
Don't missunderstand, I did so-so enjoy BOF and Heirs, more on a guilty pleasure level though, and it was certainly not because of the characters Lee Min Ho played. And when you start to feel like the main characters are the most boring characters in that particular drama...then something is wrong.
In City Hunter I didn't feel like that. Every character was interesting, and most of all Lee Min Ho shone with his acting from start to finish! And it saddens me so much that he kind of disappeared from drama-land, mostly because he realized that if he stayed there he'd only get cast for romance coemdy high school roles, because that's sadly what people remember him for, and that just breaks my heart. He is so much more than that. He deserves the credit he gets, but I feel like he gets it for the wrong roles. Like, according to Mydramalist, more have watched The Heirs than Faith. Why? Faith was awesome T_T (well in my opinion)
As an example, Ji Chang Wook is famous as the Healer, no one remembers much of his role as Taeyang from Bachelors Vegetable Store, But Lee Min Ho isn't remember for his acting in City Hunter or Faith as a badass, he is remembered for BOF, which led him to then accept the role for The Heirs because apparently that's what people wanted to see him do next (we want Gu Jun Pyo back...yaaay <_< Mina is not happy). I'm glad that he did Gangnam 1970 though, but it's still sad that he had to "run off" to the movie-industry in order to escape his BOF image (this is not a fact, but how I see it btw). I know there's probably other reasons for it too, like the fact that the salary as a movie actor is way higher than for a drama actor, but I'm almost positive that it was also because he was sick of being cast and getting fame for the same kind of roles, it's like a never-ending bad spiral. He is an actor who wants to try all sorts of diverse roles, so why does he always get remembered only for for playing an arrogant chaebol?
I want my smexy warrior Lee Min Ho back in dramaland, just like how he was in Faith, or the badass assassin he was in City Hunter and this time I hope he gets more cred for it.
What do you guys think? Which Lee Min Ho do you prefer? This was just a random rant I decided I needed to do because the thought kept bouncing around in my brain like a crazy table tennis ball xD

[LET'S GET TO KNOW] Korean Sageuks' and In What Order You Can Watch Them (Part 1)

Korean historical dramas: The Three Kingdoms

B.C – before Christ
A.D – After Christ (sometimes written as just numbers)

Quick historical backstory: Pre- and during the Three Kingdoms

Several tribes formed “The Gojoseon” (old Joseon) kingdom around 10th century BC. Gojoseon fell to an invasion by Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty of China in 108 BC (Emperor Wu of Han, 5th emperor of the Han dynasty). During this time various tribal states emerged and built walls. As their political powers got stronger these tribal states developed into Goguryeo, Baekje and Silla – The three kingdoms of Korea삼국시대; (refer to the ancient Korean kingdoms of Goguryeo, Baekje and Silla, which dominated the Korean peninsula and parts of Manchuria, North-East China, for much of the 1st millennium. The Three Kingdoms period ran from 57 BC until Silla triumphed over Goguryeo in 668, which marked the beginning of the North and South States period of Unified Silla in the South and Balhae in the North. The earlier part of this period, before the three states developed into full-fledged kingdoms, is sometimes called Proto–Three Kingdoms of Korea).

About this blog post and Sageuk dramas:

Not to long ago I got quite a few requests and questions about the topic in what order should I watch sageuks? This is a very interesting question because some of them are connected to each other, and based on real historical events while others are more fictional and can be watched whenever. So Instead of writing a super long essay in a private message on mydramalist to everyone individually, I decided to make a blog post about it. This way it won't only answer the question but it could also perhaps help everyone else who might be wondering the same thing.

I've categorized them based on kingdoms and then time period. Unless it's stated that something is a prequel or sequel to something, those dramas (which will be marked in in cursive letters) can be watched separately. But I still recommend to stick to the order for best historical accuracy. When a drama is written as "related to" another one, it means that you can either watch it right next to the other or watch them both at the same time (preferably. Because that way you'll get the full story).
If there is a link for the subbed episodes, it will be provided here as well. However not every drama will have a link. That doesn't mean that it doesn't exist, just that I'm not an all-knowing person and doesn't know of every kdrama online page in existence xD feel free to comment down below the links if you have them. It is very appreciated! :)
This list is in no way complete (first of all it's is only the first part in this blog-post series as I'll go from The three kingdoms all the way to the 1900's Korea) but I will also add dramas and movies to this list as they come out. It seems like 2016 will be full of sageuks' so when they start to air I'll add them to the list! Also, keep in mind that this is all a recommendation and doesn't serve as a MUST-DO in any way! I also have to note that I haven't seen all of these dramas. I also haven't followed this order as if it's set in stone, especially since some historical periods appeal to me more than others, but I've always tried to watch the prequel-sequel or related dramas in the order in which they are historically presented. Of couse if I can't find the subbed episodes then it can't be helped. I will also mark the recommendations with a *, it is dramas that I've seen and that I think you can watch if you don't feel like watching EVERYTHING xD. Well then, I hope this post will be useful or at least give you an overview on all the different kingdoms and historical time periods. If you've made yourself comfy on the chair and grabbed a bag of snacks ~ enjoy. Let's begin shall we?

In what order they should/can be watched:

Before anything, if you want to start from the very very beginning, I can recommend you to read the manhwa the bride of the water god. It's a fictional story based on korean history and mythology and it's about a woman who gets sacrificed by her village to the water god Habaek in order to become his bride. This is, according to an old myth the only way to calm down the angry Water God so that he'll let the rain fall again (and the villagers have been starving for 20 years or so because of drought). How is this relevant to Korean history you might ask? Well, according to legends Jumong, the founder of Goguryeo and also Korea's first king is said to be the grandson of the water god Habaek. Jumong's mom also makes an appearance in the manhwa and I have to add that besides the story, the drawing is flawless. It is one of the most gorgeously drawn manga/manhwas I've ever come across. So if you feel like that sounds like sometrhing for you, you can start by reading the bride of the water god, otherwise you can just jump right ahead into the first historical drama in this order:

Goguryeo:

Jumong * (First saeguk to watch. Founder of Goguryeo and therefore also the "father" of Korea)
The kingdom of the winds * (Sequel to Jumong and is about Jumong's grandson King Daemusin)
Ja Myung Go (Main character Prince Hodong is the son of King Daemusin. Sequel to The kingdom of the winds)

The Legend (Watch after Kim Soo Ro)

Yeon Gae Somun (Takes places before, during and after Sword of Flower)

Sword and flower Related to the drama Yeon Gae Somun as a fictional sequel. The main characters fathers' are King Yeongnyu and General Yeon Gaesomun - who were enemies)

Silla:

Queen Seon Duk * (related to the dramas: Yeon Gaesomun and Ballad of Seo Dong).
The great King’s dream (Sequel to Queen Seon Duk)
Emperor of the Sea

Baekje:

Ballad of Seo Dong (A love story between a princess of Silla and a prince of Baekje. Based on a folktale)

Gaya:

Kim Soo Ro (Watch before the drama The Legend)

Balhae:

Dae Jo Yeong

Non-historically accurate dramas, but still set in this time-period:

Battlefield heroes

[NEWS] Park Seo Joon, Go Ara and Park Hyung Shik Are Offered Roles In New Historical Drama! (UPDATED!)

New historical drama Hwarang in the making!

CHECK ALL THE WAY DOWN FOR UPDATED INFORMATION!
Earlier today it was revealed that Park Seo Joon, Go Ara and Park Hyung Shik have gotten offers to starr in a new sageuk drama named Hwarang which will be a drama about the young and beautiful Hwarang warriors of the Silla dynasty (57 BC – 935 AD).
Park Hyung Shik has been offered the role of King Jinheung, who ruled Silla from 540 to 576 during the Three Kingdoms period. He took the throne at 15 and became one of Silla’s greatest kings, responsible for vastly expanding its territory and establishing the basis for the later unification of the kingdoms.

This drama seems to have some connection to Kdrama Queen Seon Duk, as Lady Mishil (from Queen Seon Duk) was one of King Jinheung's consorts, and the king himself was the greatgrandfather of queen Seon Duk. Although nothing else has been confirmed so we'll have to wait and see how much the two dramas will touch story-wise. Nothing on Go Ara's and Park Seo Joon's characters have been revealed either.
The production will be the in hands of the Oh Boy Pictures, the people who were behind tvN's Flower Boy dramas (Flower Boy Ramyun Shop, Shut Up: Flower Boy Band and Flower Boy Next Door).

The new drama comes from Oh Boy Pictures, the production company behind the Flower Boy dramas on tvN (Flower Boy Ramyun Shop, Shut Up: Flower Boy Band, Flower Boy Next Door). This time it seems that the production team will do something in the flower-boy theme again, but in a historical setting as the Hwarang were an elite group of highly educated young aristocratic warriors founded in the 6th century who were known for their beauty. Their name translates to: hwa = flower, rang = boy. Which basically makes them the original flower boys.

Not much else has been revealed, the airing time is still up in the air as well, but according to rumours the drama is set to start filming in december for an perhaps early janaury premier.
More information will come later on when I find out more about the plot and who has/hasn't accepted the role.

Are you guys exicted for a new "Flower Boy" series? :D I think it sounds very fresh and interesting and I hope all three of the actors will accept the roles >_< it'd be awesome! On a sidenote, woah, Park Seo Joon sure is on a roll ~ he's getting offers left and right. Go, go Park Seo Joon! xD

UPDATE: Park Hyung Shik has accepted the role while Park Seo Joon and Go Ara are still considering!

[LET'S GET TO KNOW] Omodramaland's favorite bromances'

Let's talk Bromance

Lee Min Ho and Kim Woo Bin from The Heirs

So I recently got a request to write a post of my favorite bromances in dramaland; and it sounds like an awesome idea! Only that....it's quite hard ._. there are just so many good bromances you guys! Dx But I'll do my best try to narrow it to just a couple of them that especially made me fangirl and cry my eyes out.
First of all, if you're not familiar with the term, Bromance is developed from "brother" + "romance" and is used to describe two (or  sometimes more) male characters who have a very close bond, and who you ship, either as brothers or as lovers/boyfriends. It's also starting to be very popular in the West, so you'll see it more and more in all kinds of TV-shows and movies etc etc. I feel like kdramaland is especially good at making awesome bromances, and hint that something more than just friendship is going on -wink wink-, but depending on your point of views, you can decide if you want to see the hints as something romantic or just continue to ship it as a very close brotherly bond. There are really no set rules when it comes to what a bromance is, it's up to your imagination. I'd say that most dramas have some sort of bromance going on, but it varies in the sense that the bromance might be between supporting characters, or perhaps even two guys fighting over the same girl (which is the case between Lee Min Ho and Kim Woo Bin in The Heirs) or the bromance could pretty much be the main focus of the entire drama, which can be seen in dramas such as School 2013 (between Kim Woo Bin and Lee Jong Suk).

But yeah, in this post I'll talk about my favorite bromances. So without further ado, let's get started ~
(these are in no particular order because it was already hard enough to just narrow it down so this post doesn't become essay long)

[NEWS] Joo Won Confirmed as Main Lead in a Chinese Drama

One role after the other - Joo Won is going hardcore in 2015

That's right guys! Yong Pal ended just a month ago and Joo Won is already confirmed for a new project, This time he'll take on the lead role as Cheon Xi in the Chinese upcoming drama Love Express.
Nothing has been confirmed about the plot other than that it will be filmed in Shanghai among other places and that it'll star Deng JiajiaZhenyun QiaoShiu Hung Hui, and Monica Mu.

Are you looking forward to more Joo Won before the year ends? :)
I love this actor to death, he's really super talented, but I'm kind of worried that he might be over-working himself. I remember that he did an interview while he was filming Yong Pal and that he confessed that he couldn't sleep and felt extreme pressure for the drama to get good ratings and therefor I would've rather had him rest a bit before taking on a new project this quickly. However, I do understand that he is running out of time before his army enlistment, which is super depressing but it can't be avoided :/ But honestly, I don't really think he should be that worried. He's already claimed a spot in people's top actor list, he's famous in both Korea and Worldwide, especially after his hit drama Bridal Mask. But yeah, kdramaland is getting tougher and tougher competition, especially with new rising actors showing up left and right. So yeah, I'm a bit torn how I feel about this new project. I do want to see him in more dramas but I also don't want him to be dead before the military service even starts T_T Am I the only one who feels this way? Perhaps I'm just being over dramatic, I'm sure he'll be fine. He's a grown up and mature man, he can take care of himself! >_< anyhow, hwaiting on your new drama Joo Won! :D

Omodramaland's 'Can't Contain My Feels' - Corner... the 'too soon' sequel

Sassy Go Go episode 6 & 7

Yeah, I pretty much couldn't contain my feels and wait for the entire drama to end to write this. As soon as I finished episode 7 I just had to type it down. THEM FEELS YOU GUYS. THEM FEELS!
So yeah, this post will contain MAJOR SPOILERS for episode 6 and 7. So if you haven't watched those yet, I suggest that you go do that and then come back here and fangirl/fanboy with me ~
So there will be spoilers from here on ~ read at own risk!
Okay, let's get started shall we? ~

Omodramaland's 'Can't Contain My Fangirl Feels' - corner

Sassy Go Go ~ My Current Obsession

So I decided to check out the currently airing drama Sassy Go Go. It was an impulsive pick to be honest, I didn't really think too much about it. I thought the drama would be yet another cheesy cute romance comedy set in a high school setting .....but boy was I wrong. Don't get fooled by the cutie-cute-cute poster, it's not as light hearted as it may seem. I dare say this is the successor to School 2013, but even that would kind of be an understatment. Without spoiling too much of the actual plot, this drama is pretty much what I felt that I needed. It's sad, it's funny, it's gripping; yeah, it's amazeballs.
And just like with every drama we all end up having our OTPs (one true pairing) and ships. There are a lot of potential couples in this drama and I like that a lot. However there are two that I feel like I simply must fangirl and talk about here.
These are in no way spoilers, since it's just my personal opinion so don't be afraid to check out the pictures down below.

Bromance Couple

"I was so afraid that I was going to lose you again" - Kim Yeol

Kim Yeol x Seo Ha Joon. Damn this bromance. This ship hits me right in heart Dx
It's been a while since I've shipped a bromance, and honestly this is one of the most developed and angsty one I've seen in a very long time and I just love it. They're so cute and loyal towards one another and I just feel like these two will stay bros forever, if not....I think I'll probably die a bit inside X_X (If they don't, don't spoil anything, i'm just on ep 5).
Kim Yeol is a cute little hamster (just look at that smile, gosh X_x <3) and Seo Ha Joon is the definition of a smexy badass. They are so different from one another and yet they fit so perfectly together. Gah them feels >_< them feels! Anyone else who ships them? ANYONE? Aren't they perfect?
Okay I'm done. Next up ~

Angsty Couple

"Do you think it's cold? It's probably not colder than me" - Kwon Soo Ah

Seo Ha Joon x Kwon Soo Ah. This is probably my ship of this drama and I didn't get the feels until I saw that scene (picture above). In just a matter of seconds that scene became, hands down, my favorite scene in the entire drama so far. I'm sorry I just love angst, I can't help it X'D.
Honestly, I haven't seen a lot of people ship these too but without spoiling too much, I think they kind of fit together. I think that rather than the fact that they look cute together, I think they NEED each other. I just feel like out of all the characters in this drama, these two have a connection, a dark secret that no one else can understand and like I said, I've just seen the first 5 episodes but I really hope that these two will get togehter, or at least be there for one another, like mental and moral support.

I do like other ships like Kim Yeol x Kang Yeon Do and Kang Yeon Do x Ha Dong Jae too, but those two ships that I mentioned above...man it's deep. So so deep! XD
I have to say i love every single character in this drama. So far it's been a straight 10/10 score ride for me and I hope it'll stay like this until the end! Don't think I won't review this drama! I will! It will happen *_* I have so much to say and fangirl about and just ....gaaah! Them feels! xD
Also, N is blowing minds in this drama. I didn't think he could act this well o_o I'm totally falling head over heels for Ha Dong Jae. He's such a cutie-pie and I love his "condition" I still don't know what is actually going on, but it seems deep and angsty so I'm sure I'll love it and feel sorry for the poor guy >_<
Talking about cutie-pies, this hamster is another life ruiner!

Okay I think I've calmed down X_x this post is hella messy, sorry. I just had to write down my feels. Anyone else who feels the same or ship the same ships as me? Feel free to leave a comment down below and tell me who your favorite ships are :D and look forward to the probably super-duper-mega fangirly review of this drama that will be up sometime next week (as soon as it ends, I'll post it. It'll be here. Pronto xD)

[NEWS] Korean Drama Madame Antoine Reveals Cast and Plot Details!

Marie Antoinette in a psychological setting?

Upcoming Kdrama Madame Antoine has finally revelaed it's main cast! It'll be Sung Joon (Shut Up: Flower Boy Band, High Society) and Han Ye Seul (Birth of a Beauty) playing the two main leads in this new psychological romance drama.

A quick synopsis:
Ko Hye-Rim (Han Ye-Seul) is a famous fortune-teller. She is known as "Madame Antoine" and insists that she is spiritually connected to Marie Antoinette, but that part is a lie. She is able to see through people's stories due to her intelligence and keen sense. She dreams of having love in a romantic film. Ko Hye-Rim then takes part in a psychological test project conducted by psychotherapist Choi Soo-Hyun (Sung Joon). His goal is to prove that true love does not exist. Coincidentally, the name for his psychological treatment center is Madame Antoine. - Mydramalist

The drama is set to start airing on November 27th.

I've been following Sung Joon's drama for quite some time now and even if this plot doesn't sound super original, it kind of feels like it'll still be a fun ride, so I will check it out. What about you guys? Are you exited for Sung Joon's and Han Ye Seul's new project?

[NEWS] The Result of Omodramaland's Drama Poll (October Edition)

Poll Results Yo ~

Hellu guys ~
It's already been a month since the last result post, and this time, it seems like the results will be a tiny bit different. The reason for that is because it turned out that right after I put up the poll, the kdrama Descendant of the Sun got postponed from its October-November schedule to february-March 2016...sigh....and that wouldn't have been so important if it hadn't been for the fact that that drama won this month. But worry not, I've decided to just put it on the side for now, and then once it does start airing I'll ask you guys whether you want me to recap or review it.

Since that turned out to be the case, I've decided to focus on the other drama that came in second place, with 30% of the votes, which was Six Flying Dragons!!!

Yaaay XD Thanks for voting for this drama! I'm personally very happy this drama came second, since I'm already watching it and I'm hooked! I FREAKING LOVE it to death (Yes capslock was needed! *_*). So far it's one of my favorites of 2015, if not THE favorite drama of 2015 xD  It is awesome, the OST blows my mind, the characters are super complex, the story is gripping, the action scenes are among the best I've seen in my life (Ddang Sae has a freaking sword dance going on and gaaaah feeels <3) it's psychological, it's sad, it's funny, it's just.....amazing you guys, you have to check it out! I'll definitely do my best to spamm it enough and hopefully convince you all to check out this Saeguk Greatness! Mwahahaha XD In order to do that, and because I just have so much I want to talk about, analyze and fangirl over (especially the complex anti-hero main character.  My wish came true guy! Lee Bang Won not a nice guy! He has a pretty twisted mind, ...he does some questionable things) but I won't get into that now, you'll have enough time to read about it in my future posts, as I've decided that I'll, instead of recaps or reviews, I'll do analysis-posts of every episode. That way, you guys will be able to join the discussion if you wish, and I'll just fangirl and rant about what I liked and disliked etc. It will contain spoilers, just so you know. So it would be good if those of you who want to join the discussion have watched the episode before reading every post, but it's your choice xP Since the drama is so long and so much stuff happens in every single episode I thought that a first impression post wouldn't do it justice, neither would a review. It would either be too short and I'd not be able to ay everything I want, or it'd be too long and I'll still not be able to write downe everything I feel like needs to be said about the characters and the story. I already have so much I want to say and it's only the 5th episode...so yeah.. xD
Does that sound like a good idea? I could do a final review of it too if you guys wish that. So yeah, do let me know in a comment below xP. Once again, thank you all for voting for your favorites, and I'll see you guys next time ~

Trying to accept the new body and situation she's in, Soon Ae takes on the role of Bong Soon and starts working at the restaurant and also ends up falling for the head chief and owner, Sun Woo, also known as "chief". Claiming Sun Woo as the love of her life, Soon Ae decides to use Bong Soon's body to get close to him and get rid of her grudge.

I'M BACK ~ !!!! (Updates and News)

EXAMS ARE OVER! AND I'M ALIVE AND WELL ~ somehow ._.

(UPDATE On Yoo Seung Ho's Kdrama 'Imaginary Cat' down below!)

YES! I made it guys! I survived the tough exams X_X Law is seriously hell! Hell! Sorry if any one of you is a law-student but law made me go through mental breakdowns. It's seriously difficult as....fudge! (Gotta minimize the swearing here, I'm an adult so ...yeah...<_<...Fudge!) But I managed to survive, so it's all good. Now that we have that boring stuff out of the way, let's talk about the goodie goodies that I've missed out on ~
I won't go into too much detail about everything and every news that I've missed, so I've decided to just briefly mention some of the major headline news that I consider awesome that happened while I was away. But before I do that I just have to say that I finished Oh My Ghost! and Yong Pal, so reviews on those two will be up in the begining of next week ~ look forward to that ;) and now on to the juicy news ~

The first 2015 Korean Drama Awards were announce and the winner of the big daesang award (basically the biggest award you can win as an actor) was Kim Soo Hyun (Producers)
To name a few thers: Yong Pal won best script, EXO's Chanyeol (EXO Next Door) won the new actor award, Lee Joon (Heard it through the grapevine) won excellent actor award (YES BABY!!!) and the drama OST award went to the OST for Kill Me Heal Me. Now I saw a lot of comments about how people were very disappointed and angry at the fact that Kim Soo Hyun won the daesang award and not Ji Sung (Kill Me Heal Me), and while I have to say, I'm also very sad about that, I think Ji Sung did an outstanding job with his role (roles!!!) and Kill Me Heal Me is one of my favorite dramas of 2015, but I honestly felt very bad for Kim Soo Hyun when I read all those comments. Some people just expressed their disappointment but others were plain rude O_o I got shocked! I can understand that people feel salty that the award didn't go to the person they hoped for, but shouldn't we still respect the winner? Why hate the actor? It's not like Kim Soo Hyun voted for himself.
While Producers wasn't really my favorite cup of tea of this year, I still don't see why some people feel the need to bash the actor for winng. I was sad too, but this is not the end you guys! SBS and KBS will have their award shows too, so let's keep your fingers crossed that Ji Sung will win "best actor" award there! As for Yong Pal winning best script...hm...well, I won't go into too much detail on my opinions here, I'll save it for the review xD haha. Now you'll have to read that one to figure out how I felt! HAH! xD I'm so evil. I'm making you guys read multiple blog posts >:D As for Chanyeol winning best new actor award, hm...I'm not really surprised since the mini/webdrama did well, and while I haven't personally seen it, people have said the EXO members did a great job so yeah, congrats Chanyeol! xD Source: Koreaboo

UPDATE: Imaginary Cat will be an eight episodes long drama and will start airing in late November on MBC Every1. It means that Yoo Seung Ho has accepted both the role in Imaginary Cat and in Remember! He will start filming for Remember as soon as Imaginary Cat ends!
The next big news (and my personal favorite)Is that smexy child...NO now he's officially an Adult Actor- Yoo Seung Ho is back in dramaland! After finishing his military service he's filmed two movies and is now finally getting ready to step back on to the small screen as he's been offered two very interesting, yet very different roles in the dramas: Imaginary Cat and Remember. In Imaginary Cat
He'll be playing the role of a young man named Hyun Jong-Hyun, a webtoon writer and part-time seller at a bookstore. He's always dreamed of working as a webtoon writer, but has stumbles upon various difficulties due to his stubborn and self-centered personality. He also has a cat named Boggil. He first met his cat on the street on a rainy day. Since then, they have lived together and Hyun Jong-Hyun only opens his mind to Boggil. The first impression I got was that it sounds like a very odd yet fresh plot. I'm very curious! I like cats and I like Yoo Seung Ho so we shall see how this will work out xD
As for Remember, it is a law, political, psychology, drama about a man named Seo Woo Bin who has the condition of hyperthymesia, which allows him to remember almost every day in perfect detail. To prove the innocence of his father, Woo Bin becomes a lawyer. He struggles to prove his father's innocence, but he begins to lose his memory due to Alzheimer’s.
This story is kind of the exact opposite of the cute cat one o_o I really like that he went for two very different dramas. I'm very excited for both of them! I'm leaning more towards Remember, I'm just a sucker for angsty and dark plots xD Source: Mydramalist

Next up:
We all remember the smexy talented actor Ji Chang Wook right? Whether you're a new fan who discovered this glorious man in Healer or Empress Ki, or if you've known him since his early Warrior Baek Dong Soo days, there is no exaggeration in my tone when I say that this guy, rocked the past few drama years and he keeps surprising me with every new project he picks up. The saying "Everything he touches turns to gold" applies for this man - literally! And I'm very excited to announce that he has touched yet another project! He will be starring in the upcoming chinese-korean drama My Male God. Aside from the name and that he'll be filming in both China and South Korea, we don't really know anything about the plot. Which makes me a bit sad, I want to have at least a sentece about the plot xD Give me something...anything!!! Oww well ._. guess it's too early guys. I'll write a new post on this one as well as soon as I find confirmed information about the plot. For now, it seems like the plot is left up for our imagination haha xD Source: Allkpop

Last but not least, Lee Joon Gi, who just recently wrapped up the drama The Scholar Who Walks At Night has picked up another project, and this time it's a Hollywood movie! YES! That is correct! He's been offered a role alongside Milla Jovovich to starr in the movie 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' and judging by the actress comment that she uploaded along with a picture of herself and the actor, he's been impressing and stealing hearts of women left and right. Milla Jovovich has commented "Working for the last few nights with the incredible 3rd Dan Tae Kwon Do master and actor Joon Gi @actor_jg has been insanely fun and so inspiring. Makes me want to go back to class and brush up on my martial arts skills!"
Isn't that adorable? <3 I don't really know if Lee Joon Gi has a big role in the movie, maybe he's just a supporting role hm.., either way, I'm looking forward to seeing Lee Joon Gi kick ass in Hollywood *_* I hope the movie will be shown in cinemas! Woop woop!
http://www.allkpop.com/article/2015/10/lee-jun-ki-to-make-his-hollywood-debut-in-resident-evil-the-final-chapter (link for anyone who wants to see the picture and the original comment Milla made ^^*)

Hm..I think that's it. I'm very happy to be back and I hope I hope you're ready to get spammed by reviews, recaps and more news xD Let me know in the comments below on what you think or feel about these news? Also, if you want, leave me suggestions on dramas you'd like me to check out and review. I'll gladly consider it! :D
Well then, until next time guys ~
