Weirdest news in kdramaland this year
Just thought I should drop by and say hi. I missed you all xD Also, I'm alive, and currently surrounded by piles and piles of books, but it's alll good ~ I think..hope.
Okay let's get down to business:
At first I thought I should just wait until december 1st to write a blogpost about this, but I found myself unable to concentrate on my studies because I had so much I wanted to say so I decided just "heck, whatever" I'll just do it.
So yeah, as the title says, Madame Antoine has been postponed to february 2016 when it originally should've started to air this week or so.
The news were sudden and surprising, but what was the biggest surprise was the fact that jTBC didn't just postpone it for the heck of it, but because they decided to re-air a drama called Padam, Padam which originally aired in 2011. So...they're re-airing an old drama and postponed a new project, that was highly anticipated and had quite a good cast ...whut? ._.
I can't be the only one who is surprised by this X_X it sounds so odd...
First of all, why would you even re-air something that has already aired? Like, what's the point? It's not like Korean broadcasting stations are out of kdramas to air, there are tons of them! Goodbye Mr Black was almost dropped, and instead of giving room for new and fresh stories, they're going to re-air an old story? X_X I mean, hell yeah it's Kim Bum (big fangirl here) but it's still a bit fishy.
Now some people suspect that this last-minute decision was due to the fact that Madame Antoine wasn't ready to air this week, so this way it'll give the producers more time to prepare, but then I wonder why this wasn't announced. It's nothing to be ashamed of, and it's not the first time a drama has been postponed for like months and months -cough- Descendant of the Sun -cough-, so would couldn't they have just announced it like that instead of saying "yeah Madame Antoine will be pushed back, so that we can re-air Padam Padam" - in the last second? -.-* Nothing against Padam Padam, but I wonder why they picked THAT drama out of like a bunch of others.
I wasn't super anticipating Madame Antoine, so it's not like I'll cry myself to sleep over this, but I just found the case strange.
What do you guys think? Do you find it strange?
